Not sure how much this part of the site will be used, but I thought I’d go ahead and get this post edited since it’s… showing up on the front of the website, and I guess I need something there that isn’t the example post. 8) ;;;

There isn’t much to say, yet? If you’ve been following me on social media (for whatever reason), you’ve probably seen me babbling about a webcomic I’ve been dreaming about launching. Well! H-here it is, for better or for worse!

The initial spark for There You Ain’t! came about around the end of 2018, while I was both reeling from some heavy disappointment re: the shutdown of Wildstar, and also somewhat obsessed with Red Dead Redemption 2, which had just come out a few months before. 2019 was spent drafting character designs and making a few (read: a lot) of passes at a plot outline, and I spent most of The Hell Year drawing the first chapter. Something about a pandemic just breaks the part of your brain that’s worried about messing up too much, I guess!

I’ve grown impossibly fond of these characters, and already have so many story bits waiting in the wings that I can’t wait to get to drawing, so I guess I’d better get back to it, haha. Enjoy your stay; let’s see where this goes!
